VHUT is a trail ultramarathon that traverses the best terrain in northern Vestfold, with only 6% asphalt on the long course! Our goal is to provide runners with a true trail experience, with the motto "challenging but fair." The course stretches across 2 counties and 5 municipalities, and participants pass many locations of local historical significance. The race is unmarked, and participants must navigate using GPS, map, and compass.
Highlights
- We continue to offer accommodation before the race, as well as transport from Hengsrød to the start for the 50 and 87 km distances, making it easier to participate.
- There are 2 drop bag stations offered for the 147 km, and 1 for the 87 km, where food will also be served.
- The course takes participants on a journey along the finest trails and over the most beautiful peaks in northern Vestfold.
